All features listed below are available with all versions of ezNuz and NewsPortalSite Easy Edition websites.

This is a web application. All aspects of managing your NewsPortalSite can be accomplished on the Internet. Service is provided by NewsPortalSite Corporation. You will receive a dedicated IP address or URL for you and your site visitors to use. An "Admin Area" will be set up and an administrative login and password provided so you can log in and manage the site. If you already have purchased a URL then it can be used or another can be acquired depending on your wishes.

Your NewsPortalSite can function as a site on its own or we can set it up to be linked to as a feature within another site.

Each publisher can add, update or delete news sections. This allows the NewsPortalSite to be customized to the categories of content that pertain to your particular news stream.

Add new articles, update old ones, or delete them at anytime by logging onto the Internet and going to your password protected admin area. Authors can compose their articles and submit them for editorial review. The editor can then review, edit, and publish them. The authors and editors do not have to be centrally located.

An image can be uploaded in connection with each article. The image is automatically formatted to fit the page. If no image is uploaded the article is automatically reformatted to display correctly without an image.

All articles are stored in the your separate database and archived for searchability and easy access by readers.

Author profiles are registered in the database. This information can then be supplied to the "by line" of each article by that author. Authors can be given logins and passwords (restricted security) so they can compose their articles without having permission to publish them. The editor can then review and edit pending articles and publish them. Customization of this and any other feature is available as an upgrade.

The publisher can choose in which "Section" to display any ad. In the "Admin Area" the publisher can control which ads are shown in which sections and upload new ads that are ready to be used. Ads are stored in the database so they can be paused and then restarted. Any ad can be deleted or modified with an new image. The advertising feature can be removed if it is not needed.

Ads appear in random order to keep the look and feel of the site fresh. Each time a page is displayed a new set of ads are displayed. This maximizes ad exposure rates and click opportunities for the advertiser. The advertising feature can be removed if it is not needed.

Various standard advertising spots are on each page for publishers to sell. Other custom page arrangements can be created by NewsPortalSite Corporation. The advertising feature can be removed if it is not needed.

Included with the "Basic Package" is an "Admin Area" report for tracking clicks and exposures of ads you are running. This is used to determine what you charge your advertisers. Both clicks and exposures are tracked so either billing method can be employed.

There is a built in "Calendar of Events" system with the option for readers to submit (after editorial review) events to be placed on the calendar. Events are archived on your database and are available to site visitors for review.

On the "Contact Us" page is a submission form for those who would like to write a letter to the Editor.

Included with all NewsPortalSite packages is your separate database for storing users, articles, ads, ad tracking data and more. Each database is completely separated from other NewsPortalSite customers. Your data is independent of other web sites or customers. You may request a Database backup on disk at any time for a small service fee.

An RSS feed reader from an RSS syndicated source of your choice allows you to have an automatically updated link to the published articles of another news site as long as they publish an RSS feed. Your own RSS feeds for others to display, is included.

A full featured statistics service is included with each NewsPortalSite. Track your users' paths through the site and research their search trails. We also support Google Analytics.

Included in the monthly price for each site is the cost of the Internet site server upon which the site resides. We use dedicated servers leased from a leading provider with state-of-the-art security and backup systems.

A Social Networking System will allow communication between your registered readers, allowing for a flow of contacts and constructive ideas.

A full featured photo gallery can be added to your NewsPortalSite. Images are automatically resized and captions allowed in multiple albums. This is a great way to expose your site visitors to additional photos associated with the content you are publishing.

The Audio/Video player allows the managing editor to upload audio, video, or slide show content to be delivered on the NewsPortalSite. Content must conform to certain commonly used standards. It is uploaded in the admin area along with title and description. Viewers may then select from a list of available content to be played in the AV player.

The full article commenting system includes reader registration, a moderator system to allow readers to complain concerning a specific comment and the ability to add, edit and delete a comment from the editor admin area.

You may supply us with a logo or some other customized header art and we will place it in the header of your NewsPortalSite. Lacking such art, we can design and produce it for you if you like.

Favorites lists are fun and if you want we can upgrade your NewsPortalSite with additional lists.
